got up early this morning and by 7:30, I was enjoying breakfast with CBC ... my previous breakfast club.
had a great time with my buddies whom I haven't seen for 3 months... but sadly, discovered that things are still the same. They are still overworked and unappreciated - this really made me glad that I've left the company but felt bad for my buddies.
visited with my x colleagues and it was fun catchin up. I'd glad that a friend is at my old place. While catching up, a headhunter called and said that there is a vacancy at a MNC. Told the lady to call me back @ 3pm. It's extremely gratifying to know that there are still jobs available for me. But, we'll see how it goes.
I'm taking off 1 year for a well-deserved break. During this period, i intend to do some freelance work, some volunteer work and a little bit of lepaking at the beach.
Havin been headhunted is a dilemma for me - to take the job (if found situable) or not? Eternal question.
Came home and check my email. Found a note from the PR dept of my broadband provider. She nicely asked if they can publish my note of appreciation to their customer care in the media.
Oh boy - did she ask the wrong question. I first registered for my broadband in 18 'Aug 2003 and it was installed on 30 July 2005 and she wants to publish my email????!!!
Upon registration, I was told that I may have to wait for the service. So, I waited and waited. once in a while, i'll call to find out and always get the same answer : "No job sheet". I assumed that this is the order form or whatever.
Finally, I called two weeks ago and was told not only that my landline is not broadband-enabled, they cannot find my registration form. They promised to check and call me back the next day. Fair enough .... next day turned into 2 days and on 3rd day, I called again and had to explain the situation again. It's funny that while I was dealing with the customer care ppl, none of them was interested to get a copy of my registration form.
I informed them that I want my RM10-00 back (stamp duty). I was given a no. - but it was the wrong no. Can u beat that?
In the end, I decided that it'd be easier to call the ceo of the broadband provider rather than get back my RM.
Subsequently, a customer care rep. took up my case and managed to resolve my issue and sent a very efficient person to install my broadband.
After all these, u think I'm stupid enough to publish my note of thks - this was strictly meant for the poor rep who had to put up with my frustration and anger.
I told the PR lady to GO FIGURE!
It's 3:15 and still no call from the headhunter.... i suppose this effectively ends my dilemma.
